Facebook Phone Announced

In MWC 2011, HTC announced their latest phone called HTC Salsa and ChaCha. These two phones also called the Facebook phones, because it feature a dedicated Facebook button on their respective fascias for instant uploads to the Facebook site.

Both phones are running on Android 2.3, HTC Salsa is a capacitive touchscreen while HTC Chacha has a fully QWERTY keyboard. Expected release of these units will be on the second quarter of this year. The price is still unknown.

HTC Desire Will Be Released on June 18th

Yugatech reported that the launched of HTC Desire will be on June 18, 2010.

HTC announced their new Android powered device called Wildfire. See below specs:

HTC Confirms Windows Phone 7 in Late 2010


HTC CEO Peter Chou confirmed that the release of their Windows Phone 7 device will on the last quarter of 2010. The delayed release of the said phone according to speculations that HTC may drop the new OS until Microsoft permit the custom UIs.

During the CTIA conference, HTC CEO Peter Chou said that they are excited about making a Windows Phone 7 device.

HTC Ready to Face Apple in Court

Two biggest names in Smartphone making will be facing each other in court soon. Few days ago, Apple sued HTC over 20 patent-infringements, HTC responded that they will fully defend itself.

In a press release, HTC disagrees with Apple's accusations and actions related to the patent-infringement saying that it "strongly advocates intellectual property protection and will continue to respect other innovators and their technologies as we have always done".
